Check Whether Your Baby Beanie Is Authentic

The baby beanie is a very cute little toy which has a filling that feels like beans when you touch it through the cloth; hence, the name of the beanie. Baby beanies are in high demand as Christmas gifts as well as birthday gifts for children. Actually, they make excellent gifts for all occasions and all ages because they are funny, cuddly and extremely cute. There is no way you look at a baby beanie and not smile. They have a knack of tugging at your heartstrings.

Beware of Counterfeit Baby Beanies

As with everything that is successful, the baby beanie too, is duplicated by unscrupulous entrepreneurs and sold as originals. Unless you are careful, you might end up paying good money for a counterfeit baby beanie. Watch out for the following signs to ascertain whether what you are buying is authentic or not.

1. The tags will most likely tell you whether your baby beanie is original or not. Check for mistakes in spelling of the name of beanie, or mistake in the date, or mistake in the address of the manufacturing unit.

2. Check the typeface used on the tag. All the baby beanie will have the same typeface. If it is a different one, then that might be a counterfeit.

3. All the hangtags are off-white in color. However, the actual deviation from the right color will not be visible to you unless you compare it to an original tag. Hence, it would be a great idea to carry along with you an original baby beanie with which you can compare what you want to buy and ensure that your are buying the original stuff.

4. The other thing you need to check for is the star you find on the tag. This should usually be sunshine yellow in color and not mustard, as it is usually found in the fake toys.

5. The star found on the original baby beanie tag does not have sharp points, but rather slightly rounded edges to give it a soft look. This is a dead give away for the counterfeit beanie.

6. Check the shape of the face, the position of the eyes, and the expression on the face of the beanie. The original will have impeccable symmetry and does not deviate from shape or size. Counterfeit toys usually have deviations and you may not find two exactly the same, while the originals will be identical no matter from where you pick them up.
